Former UBO Asia-Pacific Cruiserweight champion Benjamin Kelleher completely resurrected his career when he beat previously undefeated (11-0) Khalid Baker to win the Australian national title on March 25.

Now 16-5-2 (5), Kelleher had lost four of his last six, albeit against very good opposition, and needed a significant victory, which he got when he triumphed in the eighth round.

Kelleher (35) won and defended the UBO title in 2017, both fights in Singapore, and went on to also win Australasian, IBF Pan-Pacific, and now twice the Australian title.

Fighting live on Showtime television, former UBO International Welterweight champion Guido Emmanuel Schramm made a statement when he defeated 13-0 American Jahyae Brown by majority decision on April 7 in Brooks, California.

Schramm, from Buenos Aires in Argentina, improved his professional ledger to 16-1-1 (9). He held the UBO title in 2020.

In a rare clash of former UBO World champions, former welterweight ruler Djamel Dahou from Algeria stopped former Lightweight titlist Allan Kamote of Tanzania in two rounds on March 18 in Dubai.

Dahou, who won the UBO world welterweight title in 2014 but only had two fights between then and 2021 due to serious injury, took his professional record to 18-0 (16). Kamote dropped to 29-14-5 (16).

Based in Las Vegas, Dahou is scheduled to return on May 20 in Philadelphia against Brazilian Istivan Falcao (11-2).
