After Ryan Ford, a former
professional MMA fighter, won
the UBO World Light Heavyweight
title by stopping Sam Rapira in
Singapore in February of 2017,
he made a quick successful
title-defense three months later
against Robert Berridge, also in
Singapore.
He then decided to move down to
Super Middleweight for some
world-level title-fights in
Russia and Germany, but returned
to Light Heavyweight in early
2019 to win the WBC
International Silver title with
a knockout of then unbeaten
Serge Michel in Germany.
Later that year he
controversially came up short
against British Super Star
in-the-making Joshua Buatsi, but
rebounded in December with a
sixth round stoppage of Mexican
Orlando Vasquez in what was his
first bout in Canada in over two
years.
Ford has and admirable will and
desire to face the best possible
opponents, anywhere, and he has
shown that he can still very
much compete at top-level. He
will give anyone at Super
Middleweight and Light
Heavyweight a run for their
money, and on his day he is
capable of beating most.
