I ended up
winning the whole tournament in November of 2019.
I turned pro shortly after in February of 2020.
Who are
your role models, in life and in boxing?
My role
models in life and boxing would be Andre Ward,
Floyd Mayweather, Canelo, Jake LaMotta and Juan
Manuel Marquez.
Who has
been your toughest opponent, amateur and pro?
Toughest
opponent in the amateurs was Burnell Jenkins Jr.
of New Orleans, who I fought in Las Vegas at the
finals of the Roy Jones Jr Open Invitational
tournament.
Mario
Arturo Alvarez Garcia has been my toughest
opponent in the pros so far. He was a hard puncher
and extremely durable, and technical. I beat him
by unanimous decision.
What was
it like going to Colombia to win the UBO title?
Colombia is
an amazing country, I love the culture, food,
weather and traditions. The people of Colombia are
some of the nicest and most hospitable I've ever
met.
Winning the
UBO International Title was an amazing feeling,
and to do it in a new country with such a
beautiful left hook knockout in the first round
was incredible!
What is
next for Angelo Habib the boxer?
Next for me
is definitely taking big fights in Canada, and
making my USA or UK debuts.
