Pudivitr Overpowers Boada To Become UBO World Champion

Octavio “Tank” Pudivitr won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) World Light Heavyweight title on Friday night, December 8, in Matosinhos, Portugal.

 
 

In a display of determination and overwhelming physique, the Mozambique-born local hero defeated game Colombian Juan Boada in front of a lively crowd at the Matosinhos Sports Center.

Meteoro” had come to fight, but Pudivitr was just too strong for him and scored a knock-down in round four, which was the beginning of the end for the visitor.

Boada beat the referees count and tried his best to shift the momentum, but Pudivitr continued to march forward, placing big shots to both body and head.


 
 

In round eight the corner of Boada felt their man had no way back in the fight, and saved him from further punishment by throwing in the towel.

The new UBO world Light Heavyweight champion improved his professional record to 9-1 (4), while Boada, from Bogota, drops to 15-7 (9).

The fight was the main event of a show promoted by Cesar Moreira and Arena Matosinhos.
