UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Local hero Octavio Pudivitr and Colombian Juan Boada will square off for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) World Light Heavyweight title on Friday, December 8, in Matosinhos, Portugal.

The fight will headline a show at the Arena de Matosinhos promoted by Cesar Moreira.

Tank” Pudivitr (8-1, 3 KOs) turned professional in 2019 and won the WBU Light Heavyweight title last June, defeating another Colombian in Jose Miguel Torress by second round knockout.

His only defeat came by questionable decision to German contender Martin Houben, in Germany, and while he is a favourite on home soil against Boada he is expected to face a very determined co-challenger.

Juan “Meteoro” Boada (15-6, 9 KOs) is coming off a victory in November, and last March he knocked out 13-0 Nahuel Gonzalo Garcia in Argentina.

So the 29-year-old from Bogota is no stranger to going into his opponents back-yard and come out with a victory, and he will be aiming to do just that in Portugal.

The fight will be preceded by a strong undercard, and a full house is expected to cheer on Pudivitr in what is unquestionably the biggest fight of his career to date.
