Now Or Never! Mina vs. Herrera For UBO International Title In Quito

None of them bring glossy records, but both have defeated highly regarded prospects to put themselves in line for what is a massive, some would say “now or never”, opportunity.

Local boxer Mina (3-3-1, 2 KOs) is coming off a victory over then unbeaten Jhan Carlos Ubarnes, who was 4-0 at the time and has since improved his record to 8-1-1 against credible opponents.

Former IBA world title-challenger and two-time Colombian national champion Herrera is a highly deceiving 30-40 (21), and just last August he proved he is still very capable when he decisioned 7-1 Kevin Rivera.

Now fighting out of Miami, Florida, Herrera is by far Mina´s most experienced and accomplished opponent to date, and he will need all the support he can get from his home-town fans to score what would be the biggest win of his pro campaign.

For Herrera a victory would secure him his first non-domestic title after nineteen years in the paid ranks, and certainly breath new life into his career.

Mina vs. Herrera will be the main event of a show promoted by Farias Promotions.
