27-year-old Mendoza, from El Paso in Texas,
turned pro in 2016, and has since gone through
every opponent put in front of him.
In 2019
he won the WBC Fecarbox Silver title, and in
2020 he captured American Boxing Federation
titles at both Featherweight and Super
Featherweight.
In June
of 2021 Mendoza added the WBC FECOMBOX Super
Featherweight belt to his collection, when he
knocked out Mexican Daniel Mendez Torres
(18-3-1, 10 KOs), in Mexico.
Now he is
ready for his first championship fight at
Lightweight, and will be facing another local
man on away turf in Oswaldo “Zurdo” Miranda
(11-6, 3 KOs), a former WBA regional titlist.
