When Thailand´s Rachamongkol Sor Ploenchit, AKA Sayan Sirimongkon, fought for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Welterweight title his record was reportedly 14-6 (6).

But since record-keeping in Thailand, with all due respect, often leaves a lot to be desired, it is not clear exactly what his statistics were.

It is clear, however, that besides experience from almost two-hundred Muay Thai bouts, he was a former WBC Asia and International champion and had beaten some more than decent foes.

On November 23, 2013 Sor Ploenchit took on Sebastien Allais (14-8-5) at the Salle Du Piloris in Campbon, France, going into his opponents home-town.

Sor Ploenchit, thirty years old at the time, fought well and gave the local man plenty to think about, but lost a unanimous decision (113-115, 112-116, 111-117) in the end.

Since that fight, Sor Ploenchit settled for being a journeyman, and while he gave many good boxers a run for their money in the years that came, he rarely won.

Now thirty-nine, he is still active today, boxing as recently as this past July, and has actually won two of his last three bouts.
