Arlene Sanchez-Vaughn has coached me my whole
career. She tells me what I want
and don't want
to hear.
Her love for fighting is raw and real. I’m
blessed to have crossed paths with her!
My dad passed away
just
before my 20th birthday. I was a daddy’s girl.
My mom is definitely my rock. She has also
beaten cancer. She raised my brothers and I, but
she also adopted
two
young boys, while being a single parent.
Q:
Random, and unprofessional question: What would
you prefer: Cheesecake that tastes like dirt, or
dirt that tastes like cheesecake?
A:
I’d have to say dirt that taste like
Cheesecake. Who doesn’t love the taste of
cheesecake?
Q:
What are the most important things for you to be
at your best?
A:
I´m
always trying to look for the positives.
I’ve gone thru A LOT.
The
good, the bad, the ugly.
I try to be a motivation for others. I’ve had
lots of health issues so I’m trying to take care
of myself, proper nutrition, rest and recovery.
Some days I do slack and I pay the price.
My parents also had health issues, and I am very
close to my family, so as long as they’re all
good I feel amazing.
Q:
Without giving away your game-plan, what will
make you victorious August 14?
A:
I
have 19 Pro fights, boxing and
MMA.
I feel I still
haven't
fought to the best of my ability. If I show up
focused and healthy, I will walk out of that
ring victorious!
