Ghanaian hot-shot Alfred Lamptey remained undefeated and won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) All-Africa Featherweight title on Saturday night, March 6.

In front of a socially distanced crowd at the iconic Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, 18-year-old Lamptey put on a composed performance to stop compatriot George Krampah in the fourth round.

Lamptey worked well off the jab and mixed in sharp combinations to body and head, while a game Krampah tried to find his opportunity to shift the momentum in his favor.

At the end of round three the fight caught fire, as both men decided to go toe-to-toe and trade blows for the last thirty seconds, much to the delight of the enthusiastic fans.

The high pace continued in round four, where Lamptey suddenly hurt Krampah badly, and referee Michael Neequaye waved the fight off as Krampah was on his way to the canvas.

Some would say the stoppage was too quick, but Krampah was on the floor for some time and didn't appear to be arguing the referees decision.

By many called the biggest boxing talent in Ghana, if not all of Africa, "Bukom Bomber" Lamptey moved his professional record to 8-0 (6). Krampah drops to 14-5 (12).

The show was promoted by Box Office Sports Promotions in association with Ace Power Promotions.
