Cedric Bellais (22-8-3, 11 KOs) from France is getting ready to make his first defense of the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) World Light Heavyweight title.

31-year-old southpaw Bellais will take on Mexican challenger Rocky Montoya (32-3, 22 KOs) on November 22 in his birth-country Tahiti.

After winning the UBO World Light Heavyweight title last year, Bellais won the UBO World Cruiserweight title in his most recent outing, this past July, stopping Argentinian Miguel Angel Cobas in six rounds.

A regular training-partner of future Hall-of-Famer Gennady Golovkin, he is now back at Light Heavy, having relinquished the Cruiserweight crown again.

A pro since 1997, Rocky Montoya (37) is a gritty veteran who, despite having mainly fought in his home-country, has boxed on some big shows in the USA, including the Marco Antonio Barrera vs. Johnny Tapia bill in Las Vegas in 2002.

This will be his first shot at a world championship, and he is expected to give Bellais a tough challenge.
