UBO  -  Universal Boxing Organization™

December 17, 2014. A Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) European Heavyweight title fight was scheduled for November 28 in Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia, between Zoltan Petranyi of Hungary and Temoo Tamaititahio of Tahiti, French Polynesia.

 
  

After carefully reviewing testimonies from everyone involved, the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) makes the following statement based only on facts:

- Both fighters weighed in and passed medical examinations the day before the bout.

- Mr. Zoltan Petranyi felt the ring was unsafe, and the promoter, Mr. Rodrigue Ah-Min, promised to arrange for the necessary adjustments to the ring.

- Adjustments were made, and UBO Supervisor Mr. Reginald Leca accepted that the ring was safe for the fight to take place.

- All planned undercard bouts took place without any incidents, or complaints from boxers, trainers or officials.

- Mr. Zoltan Petranyi didn’t enter the ring.

- The local boxing commission in charge, the New Caledonia Boxing League (NCBL), according to its rules and regulations, declared the fight a disqualification victory for Temoo Tamaititahio.

- The Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) is in no position to make a ruling on the official result, and has no official opinion on the ruling by the NCBL.

- The Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) believes that all designated UBO Supervisors, as official UBO representatives, can make the correct judgments and decisions in regards to conditions and safety of boxers participating in UBO title fights.

- Mr. Petranyi refused to accept the judgment of the UBO Supervisor.

Additionally, UBO Rules and Regulations state:

- It is explicitly and unequivocally ascertained that the successful Contestant of the Championship agrees to and adheres to the UBO Rule that they must defend the said title within the said weight class within a six month period of winning or last defending the title or the UBO reserves the right to declare the title vacant.

And:

- It is explicitly and unequivocally ascertained that the successful Contestant of the Championship agrees to and adheres to the UBO Rule that should the Contestant fight for another title without agreement of the UBO, lose a bout for another title, or lose a non-title bout, the UBO reserves the right to declare the title vacant.

- Mr. Petranyi last defended the UBO European Heavyweight title on June 15 2014.

- Mr. Petranyi is officially scheduled to contest the World Boxing Federation (WBF) International Heavyweight title on December 29 2014 in Hungary.

- The Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) declares the UBO European Heavyweight title vacant.

- The Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO), at its discretion, declares Temoo Tamaititahio new UBO European Heavyweight Champion.
