Balasz Kelemen Beats Bronislav Kubin, Wins UBO International Title

Balasz Kelemen is the new Universal Boxing Organization™ International Super Middleweight Champion after the Hungarian convincingly defeated the Czech Republic´s Bronislav Kubin on Saturday night (November 15) in Tatabanya.

 
  

Going out live on Magyar Televizio, Kelemen was in control most of the way, and boxed a smart fight against the game Kubin.

In round nine Kelemen scored a knockdown, but the visitor beat the count of referee Bela Florian and finished the round.

After ten rounds it was clear that Kelemen was the winner, having controlled basically every round, and judges Bence Bozso, Ferenc Budai and Laszlo Pete all had him ahead by wide scores of 100-89, 100-89 and 99-90.


 

With the impressive victory, Balasz Kelemen improved his professional resume to 22-0 (13), and the tough Bronislav Kubin falls to 17-15-1 (10).

I felt a little cramped, as I wanted to win quickly by knockout”, Kelemen told interviewers after the bout. “But overall I am happy with the victory, and I am looking forward to hopefully fighting again soon.”

The Kelemen vs. Kubin UBO International title fight was the headliner of a big show promoted by Felix Promotion, in association with Ferobox Event.
