UBO
All-Africa Cruiserweight Champion Amr Habesh faced
Mohamed Abdufatou in a rematch, after winning
their first fight by TKO when a serious cut
prevented Abdufatou from continuing
in the
seventh round last February.
This time around it would go the full distance,
with the defending champion winning rather clearly
on points after scoring three knockdowns, two in
round four and one in round ten.
Remaining undefeated, Habesh improved his
professional record to 8-0 (5), and Abdufatou
falls to 8-8 (5) after losing his careers third
title fight.

In the co-featured bout, Mohammed Metualy and
Ibrahim Mostafa contested the vacant UBO
All-Africa Featherweight title, in what was a
highly anticipated encounter between two of
Egypt’s most accomplished current professionals.
Metualy proved to be the better man on the
night, and after twelve entertaining rounds he
was awarded a deserved unanimous decision.
The new UBO Champion improved his professional
ledger to 18-3 (8), while Mostafa drops to
14-6-7 (7).
