UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Reigning Universal Boxing Organization™ European Heavyweight Champion Zoltan “Csepi” Petranyi will make his fourth title-defense on June 15 on a big card at the Hotel Aquincum, beautifully located on the banks of the Danube river in Budapest, Hungary.

Petranyi (50-20, 15 KOs), who won the UBO title in January 2011, will take on fellow-Hungarian Andras Csomor (9-2-1, 7 Kos) on a show promoted by his own outfit Profibox-Promotion, and televised Live by FIX TV.

Still going strong at 48 years of age on fight-night, Petranyi is undefeated since 2007 and will be looking to make it fifteen straight victories on June 15 by defeating Csomor, twenty-two years younger at 26. Csomor is himself on a good run, having won his last six fights and five of them inside the distance.

Both men are from Budapest, so besides the UBO title a lot of local pride will also be at stake. Earlier this month Csomor stopped undefeated Istvan Geller in Slovakia, so while he will be the underdog against Petranyi he will enter his first title fight with confidence in his own abilities.

Petranyi last fought in December, where he stopped 12-1-1 Tibor Balogh in three rounds, also at the Hotel Aquincum. Turning pro in 1996, his Indian Summer in the ring is going so well, that currently he has no plans of hanging up the gloves.

The Petranyi vs. Csomor UBO European Heavyweight title fight is the main event of a card that also includes a WBF International title fight between Zoltan Sera and Ferenc Hafner, and a clash for the Hungarian national Middleweight crown between Sandor Micsko and Ferenc Albert.
