UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Tanzanian rivals Karama Nyilawila and Said Mbelwa will fight for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ International Super Middleweight title on Saturday May 24 at Friends Corner Hall in Dar Es Salaam.

This will be the second shot at this title for Nyilawila (17-10-2, 10 KOs), as he lost a challenge against Francis Cheka in September 2012. He has since won four of five bouts, all four victories coming inside the distance.

A former Tanzanian national and WBF World Champion at Middleweight, Nyilawila must be considered a favorite against former Tanzanian Super Middleweight Champion Mbelwa.

Besides the Tanzanian national crown, the massively experienced Said Mbelwa (27-15-4, 19 Kos) has yet to win a significant title, despite several opportunities all over the world.

Like Nyilawila he has fought very strong opponents abroad, and is relishing the rare chance to win a championship on home soil.

The highly anticipated local clash, will be promoted by Ally Amar Mwazoa and his Mwazoa Promotion, and a strong undercard will precede the main event.
