UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

On Saturday November 30 in Grozny, Russia, local Southpaw prospect Movsur “The Monster” Yusupov won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ Youth World Light Heavyweight title in a spectacular fight in front of a delighted crowd at the Olympic Sports Complex.

Yusupov defeated late substitute, but very game and underrated, Vladimir Idranyi from Slovakia by unanimous decision, but was made to work hard despite what turned out to be wide scores in his favor from the judges.

After twelve close rounds of exciting boxing, where both boxers had their moments and it was hard to decide who came out on top after each stanza, Zaburov Ruven scored it 117-111, Svetlana Markina had it 118-110 and Mikhail Sakharyan a too wide 120-110.

The new UBO champion, who won an Inter-Continental title in his bout previous to this one, improved his professional record to 6-0 (3).

Idranyi, who has fought on even terms with some of Europe’s best and was coming off a draw in Germany with Mohammed Rasuli (15-4-3), drops to a very deceiving 4-14-2 (1).

The show in Grozny, which also featured several other title fights, was promoted by SKV Boxing, who did a great job of organizing another big boxing event in Russia.
