Today he is the reigning EBU European Heavyweight champion, but Labinot Xhoxhaj (22-0-1, 17 KOs) from Kosovo started his climb towards the top by winning the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Cruiserweight title in 2021.

Xhoxhaj (31) turned professional in 2016 in Germany, and went 15-0, boxing mainly in Switzerland, before getting his UBO title-shot against 7-1 Marko Mononen from Finland on December 27, 2021 in his birth country.

He impressively blew out Mononen in the very first round, showing that he was a man on a mission and someone to seriously consider as a player in the years to come.

It turned out to be his last fight at Cruiserweight, as he returned to Germany to focus on a Heavyweight campaign.

In November of 2024 he dethroned Ukrainian European Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Zakhozhyi (19-0) with a clear unanimous decision.

Last June he made his first defense of the European crown, beating another undefeated foe in Frenchman Mourad Aliev (13-0), again by unanimous points verdict.

And on February 14, 2026, he retained the title a second time, knocking out Sweden´s Prezhman Seifkhani (17-1) in round four.

Labinot Xhoxhaj just needs to keep winning, and he will eventually get a shot at a world title. He is well on his way to proving that he deserves to get one!
