UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Its China vs. Thailand for Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) honours on October 26 in Pathum Thani, around 40 kilometres north of Bangkok.

In a battle of punchers, Shoucheng Yiang will face Phirawat Panthong for the vacant UBO International Super Bantamweight title.

24-year-old Yiang (4-1, 4 KOs)) turned professional in September of 2024, and won the Asian Boxing Federation Super Featherweight title last April.

His sole defeat came on points for the same title at Featherweight three months earlier, and now he is ready to move down to Super Bantam for a shot at the UBO belt.

Panthong (27) brings a 4-2 (4) record, and has won his last two since coming up short twice in a row earlier this year.

One of those defeats came at the hands of another Chinese in Jian Kun Yuan, who defeated him for the Asian Boxing Federation Super Bantamweight title in April.

He will now be looking to make the most of his second championship opportunity, and do to Yiang what he couldn't do to Yuan.
