Filipino Elmo
Traya will face tough Bangkok-based Iranian Mahdi
Sarbaz for the vacant UBO Continental (Asia) Super
Welterweight title.
Traya (16-5, 11
KOs), who won the Asian Boxing Federation title in
his most recent outing this past August, is riding
a four fight winning streak.
Former WBC Asian
champion Sarbaz (5-3, 4 KOs) is looking to rebound
after losing a debatable decision to undefeated
Irakli Melikishvili for the IBA Intercontinental
title in Georgia last May.
Finally, Reymond
Yanong, another Filipino who won Asian Boxing
Federation honours in his last fight, will square
off with Thailand´s Alphisit Nulae for the vacant
UBO Continental (Asia) Welterweight title.
Yanong, a winner
of five of his last six, enters the bout at
16-10-1 (11). Nulae is a modest 5-6 (3), but has
won his last two and is coming off an upset
victory over undefeated Brit Zeeshan Ali Moughal.
A strong
undercard and several additional championship
fights will be featured on this excellent show,
with boxers from all over the world.
