The Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Boxer of the Month for August 2025 is newly-crowned Female world Super Bantamweight champion Anyela Lopez.

  
 

From Mexico but based in Arizona, Lopez went into enemy territory on Saturday, August 30, to beat Moni Trejo by clear unanimous decision to win the title in Cicero, Illinois.

It was an impressive accomplishment for the 34-year-old, who is on something of a roll. In her last three fights she has been the away-fighter but has still managed to come our victorious against very good opponents.


It should also be noted that while Lopez has a mediocre 5-2-1 (1) record, the two losses and the draw was against undefeated foes.


 
 

“No Risk, No Reward”, as the saying goes, and Anyela Lopez is living, fighting proof of that!
