Srapyan was made to work very hard, but beat

Super
Welterweight title on Saturday, August 2, at
World Siam Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

In what was a
complete shoot-out from the start,
the
boxers appeared to have forgotten about the use
of a jab, as both almost exclusively fired off
power-shot
trying to hurt
each-other.
With few, if
any, clinches, it was all-action on the inside,
and every round saw some fierce exchanges.
Srapyan mixed well between body and head, while
Sala was head-hunting, trying to land big right
hands.
It was
undoubtedly taxing on both, but after four round
Sala, who was the one coming forward most of the
time, looked like he was tired, but he still
came out strong for round five and gave it
everything he had.

It was tit for
tat until round six, when Srapyan finally hurt
Sala conclusively with his body-punches, sending
him down twice before going for the finish,
trapping Sala on the ropes and throwing bombs
until referee Prommase Chakshuraksha stepped in
and waved it off.
Srapyan, having
his second fight in Thailand, won his first
professional title and improved his record to 5-0
(3). Sala, who in his last outing lost a close
decision to Jirolian Riku in Japan, drops to a
very misleading 12-8 (8).
The fight
headlined a card promoted by TL Boxing Promotions.
