FIGHT POSTPONED! Kazakh former underachiever Aidos Tastayev continues the amazing resurrection of his career as he vies for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Continental (Asia) Super Lightweight title on August 9.

Tastayev (6-6, 5 KOs) will be going for his fifth straight win when he faces co-challenger Ulugbeg “Bullet” Qayumboev (6-1, 5 KOs) from Uzbekistan in Van, Turkey.

Turning pro in 2021, the 24-year-old from Aktobe in western Kazakhstan was 2-6 by the end of 2024, and could at that point only be described as a journeyman.

But six months later he had evened the score with 4 wins inside the distance, and now he is hoping to put an exclamation point on his impressive turn-around by winning the UBO Continental title.

But he should expect stern resistance from Qayumboev, who is also only twenty-four and who´s only defeat came on points to Tastayev´s 12-0 countryman Nurdos Tolebay last September.

The fight is one of the featured contests of a big show promoted by Tunal Academy in association with HUN Promotion and ADAL Promotions.
