Mexico´s Arlenn “La Torita” Sanchez Aguirre is the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Boxer of the Month for June 2025.

  
 

Sanchez Aguirre stepped in on short notice, replacing Esmeralda Gaona, to upset Karol Mazariegos on June 14 in Zacamulpa, Mexico, winning the vacant UBO world Flyweight title in the process.


After ten rounds of boxing, the underdog was declared the winner by split decision and was rewarded for grabbing the opportunity of a lifetime with both hands.


Her record now a very deceiving 7-7-4 (1), Sanchez Aguirre has often been unlucky in close fights, but this time it went her way and she is now a deserved world champion.


 
 

A real Cinderella-story indeed…
