UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Undefeated Kazakh Samatali Toltayev will fight for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Lightweight title on July 11 in his home-town of Almaty.

A world class amateur, the 25-year-old southpaw turned professional in February of last year, and is now ready to step up in class at 5-0 (2) and fight for his first world championship in only his sixth paid bout.

For most it would be too big a task, but Toltayev, who´s twin brother Sanatali is also a pro boxer and through to the second round of the WBC Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia, is considered a unique talent, ready to be fast-tracked.

His opponent on July 11 will be Pakistan champion Kamran Abdul Wahab (9-0, 8 KOs), a dangerous and ambitious co-challenger who is known for his punching-power.

Toltayev will enter the fight as a favourite, but “The Pakistani Tank” (27) is more than capable of upsetting the apple-cart if the local man is not at his best.

The intriguing fight tops a card promoted by RD Promotion in association with Tunal Academy, and will be preceded by a strong undercard featuring local talent.
