Italian compatriots Damiano Raguso and Patrizio Manzoli are set to decide the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Mediterranean Super Welterweight title on June 21.

The fight will be one of the featured bouts of a card promoted by De Carolis promotions at the Palatorino in Rome.

Neither man has glossy records, but both are known as hard-working, honest professionals who give their all in the ring to please the fans, and its expected to be a very entertaining encounter.

Raguso (4-4-1, 1 KO) turned pro in 2021, and this will be his first chance to win a professional title. He is coming off a victory last April, and all his defeats have come on points against undefeated opponents.

Manzoli (5-3-1, 1 KO) proved his worth when he scored a draw against current UBO Mediterranean Middleweight titlist Tiziano Barilotti last time out.

That was in a non-title fight, so for Manzoli it is also his first crack at a championship. And just like Raguso he knows this is a major opportunity.

For the winner new doors will open. For the loser, things could look bleak when it comes to championship ambitions.
