Saturday
night, March 22, he had scored the biggest
victory of his career against the best opponent
of his career, and was the new
Universal
Boxing Organization™
(UBO)
Continental (Europe)
Middleweight
champion.
When the
original opponent for Nicola Cristofori (16-3-2,
1 KO) fell out, Rudan bravely agreed to step in
and fight the accomplished and skilled Italian
for the vacant UBO title, on just a few days
notice, essentially saving the main event of the
show in Ferrara, Italy.
In
Cristofori´s home-town, Rudan was knocked down
hard in round four but gamely got up and fought
back, arguably winning the last three rounds to
clinch a split decision.
