With a convincing and thrilling performance to become International Welterweight champion, Deonte Walker secures Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Boxer of the Month honours for January 2025.

  
 

The 24-year-old puncher stopped veteran Eduardo “La Dinamita” Reis in two rounds to capture the vacant title on January 30 at The District in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.


In front of an enthusiastic crowd, Walker welcomed the aggression of Reis and floored him several times before referee Mark Nelson saved the game Brazilian from further punishment.


The fight showed that Walker is maturing quickly, is a stand-out talent, and could be ready for even sterner tests in the near future.


 
 

Now 18-1 (17), and also a former UBO Continental (North America) titlist, he is not far off a potential shot at the UBO world title.
