UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Undefeated Peruvian Juan Vargas Velasquez (9-0, 4 KOs) will fight for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Light Heavyweight title on November 23.

At the Palazzetto Le Cupole in his adopted home-city of Turin, Italy, Vargas Velasquez will enter his first professional championship bout and take on Rasim Alunovic (4-1, 2 KOs) from Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Originally from Lima, the talented 29-year-old turned pro in July of 2019, in Italy where he has boxed exclusively as a professional.

For various reasons his early development was hindered by inactivity and he only managed to fight four times between then and March of 2023, where he returned after more than a full year out of the ring.

His career have since picked up considerably, with three fights in 2023, and his UBO title fight on November 23 will be his third outing of 2024.

Both the home-town favourite and Alunovic (25) are ambitious up-and-comers going into the biggest fight of their careers to date.

Vargas Velasques vs. Alunovic headlines a show promoted by ASD Manno Boxing.
