The two
title fights will be classic crossroads battles
between young up-and-comers and seasoned
veterans in all-Ghanaian prestige affairs.
In a
fight for the vacant UBO Africa Featherweight
title, current Ghanaian national champion
Stanley Nyantakyi (9-1, 9 KOs) will take on
former IBF Africa Super Bantamweight ruler Isaac
Nettey (28-17-1, 17 KOs).
“The
Ashanti Warrior” Nyantakyi is undoubtedly the
fresher of the two, but Nettey is far more
experienced and unlikely to be surprised by
anything his 23-year-old opponent will bring.

In the
co-featured bout, John “The Monster” Zile (12-0-2,
10 KOs) fights another battle-tested former
national champion in Emmanuel Quartey (26-12-1, 23
KOs), with the vacant UBO International Super
Bantamweight title on the line.
Albeit
against good opponents, Zile (24) is looking to
rebound in style after having to settle for draws
in two of his last three bouts. Quartey is aiming
to firmly resurrect his own career, and has no
plans of going out quietly.
Nyantakyi,
Nettey, Zile and Quartey are all powerful men, so
it could be a matter of who strikes first. The
rising stars are the favourites, but their
opponents has seen it all and are coming to spoil
the party.
