Ukrainian prospect Danylo Honcharuk defeated
Czech veteran Michal Dufek on Saturday
night, February 17, winning the Universal
Boxing Organization™ (UBO) East Europe
Lightweight title in the process.

The fight
was part of a show promoted by former European
and world champion Lukas Konecny at the
Kinokavarna in Brno, Czech Republic.
Facing by
far his most experienced and accomplished
opponent to date, 23-year-old Honcharuk passed
the test and looked good doing so.
Dufek
tried his best to unsettle the young man, and
had some success using all his experience, but
Honcharuk was the quicker and more active of the
two, landing the harder and more effective
punches.

After five
rounds, Dufek retired on his stool, making
Honcharuk the new UBO champion by technical
knockout.
Honcharuk,
based in Prague, won his first title in the paid
ranks and improved his professional record to 6-1
(6). Dufek, who rarely gets stopped, drops to
36-33-2 (23).
