The UBO International Super
Middleweight title has been
declared vacant, as former
champion Dhafir “No Fear”
Smith has been unable to set
up a defense inside the required
time period, and has no
immediate plans for a defense.
Smith won the title December 11
2010 when he beat former world
champion Jeff Lacy in Saint
Petersburg, Florida. The UBO has
been proud to have Smith as one
of our champions, and wish him
good luck in the future.
The UBO Latino Welterweight
title is also vacant after
Franklin Mamani failed to
communicate his plans for a
sanctioned defense of the
championship. Several “defenses”
has been advertised in Bolivian
media, but none were ever
sanctioned by the UBO.
Mamani won the Latino title in
October 2010 by stopping
Brazilian Idiozan Matos in three
rounds.

Inter-Continental Cruiserweight

Niger in two rounds. Original
opponent Guido Santana didn’t
make it to D.R.C.
Postolo held the UBO All-Africa
title before this fight, and
vacated when winning the I-C
Cruiser title.
A fight for the All-Africa
Heavyweight title fight between
Jenny Lukasa and
Charles Chisamba, scheduled
for this past weekend (August 6)
in D.R.C., was cancelled at the
last minute when Chisamba pulled
out and no suitable replacement
could be found on time.
