At 34 years of age, and with a professional ledger
that reads thirteen victories, nine defeats and
one draw (13-9-1, 4 KOs), Abdesselam has been
around the block since turning professional in
April 2004.
While he only managed to win one of his first four
outings, going 1-2-1, he has since rebounded well
and only lost to good opponents.
In 2011 he challenged for the WBC Mediterranean
Light Middleweight title and lost a very close
decision to fellow countryman Anthony Somaribba,
and now he will get a second shot at a
professional title in his home town. |
