Algerian promotional company Dahou Promotions originally had a fight scheduled for March 14 in Tiaret pitting national champion Dahou Djamel Nasreddine and Ghanaian Lanquaye Wilson for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ All-Africa Super Lightweight title.

But the bout was postponed when the latter caught Malaria shortly before travelling to Algeria, and now it has a new date, new place and new opponent for Nasreddine.

Dahou Promotions, in association with Benaceur Khaled, has announced that on April 20 at the DDC Keko Hall in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, Nasreddine (5-0, 4 KOs) will take on local man Hamis Ajali (9-5-1, 5 KOs) for the title, on a show packed with domestic matchups on the undercard.

Ajali, a former Youth World title challenger, is the older man by six years (26), and is considerably more experienced than Nasreddine. He will also be fighting on home soil, but the 20-year-old Algerian has no problems going abroad for his big opportunity:

“I am training very, very hard for this fight. It was frustrating when the fight in Tiaret was postponed, but I am happy that we now have a new date and it does not matter to me what country the ring will be in. I will be prepared like never before, and I will win the UBO title”, said Nasreddine.

If successful on April 20, Dahou Promotions is hoping to stage a fight for the vacant UBO Inter-Continental title for Nasreddine at home in Algeria later this year. But first things first, as Ajali will be aiming to spoil those plans in front of his fans in Dar Es Salaam.
