In 2012 the UBO again spread its wings and
sanctioned fights in South America, North America,
The Caribbean, Asia, Europe and Africa, with
fighters winning or defending our titles in exotic
places such as Las Vegas, Hong Kong and
Guadeloupe, and countries such as Brazil,
Argentina, Canada, Hungary, France, Sweden,
Slovakia, Russia, Sweden, Algeria, Tanzania and
Bulgaria.
It was a huge honor for the UBO to be part of the
biggest promotion in Hong Kong boxing history in
April, where we sanctioning no less than four
championship fights, and more recently we proudly
crowned South Korean boxing icon Ju Hee Kim as our
Female World Junior Flyweight champion.
Those were just a few of the major events in the
latest chapter of the UBO, and I could easily name
many more such as Rodion Pastukh capturing the
world cruiserweight title in Russia and Mohamed
Benguesmia winning the world heavyweight
championship in Algeria, but the main point is
that the Universal Boxing Organization™ is once
and for all established as a global sanctioning
body! |

We are here for everybody, all over the world!
Again this year I want to thank all the boxers who
fought for UBO titles in 2012, and especially our
champions. We are proud of you all! I also want to
express my gratitude to all promoters, managers,
agents, matchmakers, commissions and officials we
worked with. I hope everyone had a good experience
cooperating with us.
Also many thanks to all our regional
representatives and coordinators, who always does
a great and professional job for the UBO and
everyone involved with the UBO. At the same time I
would like to acknowledge the thousands and
thousands of boxing fans who follow the UBO on
Facebook and Twitter. Many new fans have joined
since last year, and everyone’s support is so
important and appreciated. Thank you!
2013 will start with our annual awards, and as
always the winners will be published here on the
website in early January. In the meantime, Happy
Holidays to everybody and may you all have a
fantastic 2013!
