This will be a rematch of an encounter in March of
this year where Kim won by sixth round stoppage
after a very entertaining bout, also in Seoul, and
the bout is highly anticipated by the South Korean
boxing fans.
Ju Hee Kim turned professional at just fifteen in
2001, and won her first world title in 2004. Now
26, she has not lost a bout since 2002, and has
collected multiple world championships defeating
some very good opponents along the way.
Besides the UBO crown, WBF, WIBF, CODA, WIBA, UBC,
WPBF and GBU titles will also be contested on
December 15.
18-year-old Ploynapa Sakrungrueng has only been a
pro for little over two years. Her second
professional loss, in her second pro fight and for
a regional strap, also took place in South Korea,
and she is now hoping to have better luck in the
rematch with Kim.
Since their first meeting, Sakrungrueng has racked
up four victories, and she is focused on getting
her revenge and is travelling to Seoul full of
confidence. |
