The fight will be promoted by Maravilla Box,
headed by world middleweight champion Sergio
Martinez, Sampson Boxing and Best Box, and will be
televised live in Argentina, Panama, the
Philippines and the champions native country of
Uruguay.
Comunales won the UBO title in January 2011 by
defeating another Brazilian, Halana Dos Santos, by
knockout in six rounds, and has since defended the
crown with a unanimous decision over Argentinean
Alicia Susana Alegre. In her most recent bout,
last March, she added the WBA world title by
stopping Dominican Maribel Santana in one round.
At only 23 years of age, and with two world titles
in her possession after only ten professional
bouts, Comunales has achieved a lot since turning
professional in 2009. But she will be in for
another stern test in Da Silva Duarte, who is
coming off a fresh stoppage victory on October 10.
Simone Da Silva Duarte made her paid debut in
December 2005, and won a regional championship in
only her fourth fight.
After making a few successful defenses, and adding
a couple of non-title victories, she challenged
for her first world championship in 2010, losing
on points to Yesica Patricia Marcos for the WBA
Super Bantamweight title. |
