On June 30 at the Emperor Garden in

Organization™ Youth World Super Lightweight
and Lightweight titles respectively.

20-year-old Laszlo Fazekas (9-1-1, 7 KOs), has
accomplished a lot in a short period of time since
turning pro in April 2011. Eight months after his
first paid fight he won the Hungarian national
title by beating fellow undefeated David Kis, and
this past February he confirmed his potential by
going the distance with world-ranked Ukrainian
Serhiy Fedchenko, who in his next bout lost on
points to world champion and future Hall-Of-Famer
Juan Manuel Marquez in Mexico.
Since the Fedchenko-defeat, Fazekas has rebounded
with a stoppage over countryman Renato Toth, and
he is now ready to take his career to the next
level by fighting for the UBO title on home soil.
He has already proven that he can compete with
world-class boxers such as Fedchenko, so it
remains to be seen to what degree he will be
tested on June 30. |

At only 19 years of age, Istvan Kiss (8-3, 4 KOs)
has been a pro since December 2010, and like his
stable-mate he has already captured the Hungarian
national title in his weight class. Last December
he stopped undefeated Andras Varga in three rounds
to win the title, and like Fazekas he will also be
looking to take the next step up the ladder in
Budapest.
The three losses on the record of Kiss are nothing
to be ashamed of, coming against unbeaten Ibrahim
Kamal in Canada, Tyrone Nurse (18-0) in England,
and to Italian Devis Boschiero, who in his
previous outing lost a disputed split decision in
Japan to Takahiro Ao for the WBC World Super
Featherweight title.
Toto Box-Promotion and the UBO expects to be able
to announce the opponents for Fazekas and Kiss
within a couple of weeks.
