Avila brings a deceiving 13-8 (6) record, and has
proven himself by beating notable opponents such
as Mauro Lucero, Ruben Padilla and former world
title-challenger Saul Duran, as well as capturing
the Mexican national title and several WBC
regional crowns since making his pro debut in
2004.
28-year-old Avila, from Ciudad Juarez, is coming
off two knockout-victories, and has won three of
his last four bouts against good opposition, so he
will be full of confidence going in to his first
world championship fight.
Never concerned about fighting on his opponents
turf, and with his crowd-pleasing style, he is
certain to make an exciting fight against the
local hero. |

Ali Nestor Charles, an equally deceiving 12-5-2
(4), just recently returned to Canada from his
training camp in Cuba, and is reportedly in
magnificent shape. Going unbeaten through his last
eight bouts, the Southpaw Canadian will be looking
to continue that run and put on a spectacular show
for his fans.
Billed as “L’a Accomplissement”, the Charles vs.
Avila UBO World Super Welterweight title fight
will be promoted by UGC Promotion.
