Inter-Continental Super Middleweight
Champion Anthony Dirrell (23-0, 20 KOs)
continues his road towards a world
championship when he takes on Canadian Renan
St. Juste (23-2-1, 15 KOs) on December 2 at
the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez,
California.

The scheduled twelve-rounder is headlining a show
promoted by Gary Shaw Productions, and will be
televised in the United States by Showtime.
Dirrell is coming off a second round knockout
victory over Kevin Engel on ESPN, and in his bout
before that he won the UBO title by stopping
former Olympian Dante Craig in five.
If successful against St. Juste, Team Dirrell is
hoping to get a shot at the winner of the Super
Six tournament, Carl Froch or Andre Ward.
“We'll take either one of them. Whoever wins will
have the WBC belt and the WBA belt. And Team
Dirrell encourages them to take the Super Six
trophy off the shelf and bring that too", Leon
Lawson Jr., Dirrell’s uncle told ringtv.com
recently. |

“Anthony is already right there with the best in
the division, and we feel that he's only
scratching the surface. He's ready to prove
himself. We believe that this fight will show to
the world that Anthony belongs with the elite of
the weight class.”
Renan St. Juste scored the biggest win of his
career last year when he knocked out countryman
Sebastian Demers in the second round to lift a WBO
regional championship. The 39-year-old has won
several titles as a professional, and will almost
certainly present a big challenge for Dirrell.
“He’s a good fighter. He’s an older fighter, a
real experienced fighter. A nice little snap in
his punch. But I’m young and undefeated and ready
to go. And he just happens to be the guy who’s
standing in the way. I want to get my name out
there. I want to keep my name buzzing in the
boxing world”, said Dirrell in an interview with
Boxingtalk.com.
