Universal Boxing Organization™ Inter-Continental Bantamweight Champion Mbwana Matumla (20-6, 11 KOs), nicknamed "The African Goldeboy", is set to make the second defense of his title on October 30 at the Diamond Jubilee Hall in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

Former IBO World Champion Matumla will take on compatriot Francis Miyeyusho (30-10-2, 18 KOs) in a rematch of their 2009 clash which Matumla won by close decision.

This was announced by promoter Mohammed Bawazir of Darlinks Ltd. at a press conference in Dar Es Salaam where both boxers officially signed the contract.

Also a former WBA Inter-Continental, WBA Pan-African, PABA and WBU title-holder, Matumla won the UBO title in December 2009 knocking out Ugandan Festus Omondi, and defended it this past May with a unanimous decision over late substitute Gabriel Ochieng from Kenya after a thrilling fight.

The eagerly anticipated rematch with Miyeyusho has been long in the making, and is expected to sell out the Diamond Jubilee Hall.

Matumla and Miyeyusho signs contract to fight on October 30.

Miyeyusho, a southpaw like Matumla, is the reigning Tanzanian Super Flyweight Champion and a former WBC African Boxing Union and East & Central Africa titleist.

Matumla vs. Miyeyusho is a very big fight in Tanzania, and promoter Bawazir revealed that he intends to promote a fight for the vacant UBO World Bantamweight title for the winner. So a lot more than just local bragging rights and the Inter-Continental championship is on the line for the two rivals.
