Promoter Vasko Vasilev expects that all tickets
will be sold, and a ten-fight undercard, including
a Bulgarian national title fight, will complete an
exciting evening of boxing.
Ribchev is reportedly in great shape, and eager to
show his fans what he can do against Silva.
“Alexei is in perfect condition, and has been
sparring in different cities for the last two
weeks and looked great”, says Vasilev who knows
very well what his boxer will be up against in
Silva Diaz:
“We watched video of Diaz, and we expect him to be
dangerous in the first 2-3 rounds. He is a
hard-punching boxer with an untraditional style.
He fights from both stances, and is very awkward.
“But Ribchev, if he is not caught early, should be
able to wear him down with his high tempo, and
maybe even win by knockout in the later rounds.”
Former Uruguayan and WBA Fedelatin Champion Diaz,
who twice fought for world championships, of
course have other plans. He has no intentions of
losing, and believe he has faced better fighters
than the Bulgarian. |
