Canada-based Romanian Jo Jo Dan (28-1, 15 KOs) is
set to take on Guyanese champion Iwan Azore
(13-3-3, 3 KOs) for the vacant UBO
Inter-Continental Welterweight title in Port of
Spain, Trinidad & Tobago. Azore is a substitute
for Floyd Trumpet, who had to withdraw with an
injury last week.

In Jurmala City, Latvia a UBO double header is
shaping up to be a very interesting evening of
boxing, as Andrejs Barabanovs (9-1, 5 KOs) fights
Giorgi Tevdorashvili (8-5-2, 5 KOs) for the UBO
European Light Heavyweight title.
The co-feature is for the vacant UBO Female
International Featherweight title, and a battle
for local pride as Latvia-based Armenian Agnesse
Boza (5-5, 3 KOs) fights Julija Cvetkova (4-3-1, 1
KO). Boza, a former WIBF World title challenger,
must be considered the favorite, but Cvetkova is
known for her uncompromising fighting style, so it
will be a tough battle.

Saturday July 30:
UBO All-Africa Heavyweight Champion, and former
International Cruiserweight Champion, Matamba
Postolo (13-0, 8 KOs) will attempt to win his
third UBO title when he, back at Cruiserweight,
goes for the vacant Inter-Continental crown in
Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Postolo will fight Argentina-based Bolivian Guido
Santana (11-4, 7 KOs).
