According to Joann Balgobin of Floyd Trumpet
Boxing Productions, Trumpet broke his nose in
sparring last week and is therefore obviously
unfit to fight.
Azore, who was originally scheduled to fight
Trumpet for the UBO title this past March, happily
accepted to step in and fight Dan on little more
than a weeks’ notice.
“I am still not sure if it is a dream or reality,
but I am not about to pass on an opportunity like
this. I am in very good shape. Bring on Jo Jo Dan,
I will fight anyone, anywhere.
You can put the fight in a phone booth in the
market and I will be there to fight. I can’t
wait!”, said Azore according to Mediafax.
“Night Of Champions” will be presented by Unified
Boxing Promotions in cooperation with Floyd
Trumpet Boxing Productions, and will, besides the
Jo Jo Dan vs. Iwan Azore UBO title fight, also
include two female world title fights and an
interesting undercard featuring local talent.
