This has been confirmed by Floyd Trumpet Fight
Productions, and Gancor Promotions on behalf of
Dan, after Emilio Julio Julio from Columbia pulled
out of the fight.
The show, which also featured two female world
title bouts, will be promoted in cooperation with
Unified Boxing Promotions.
A pro since 2004, Dan has compiled an impressive
28-1 (15) record. His sole defeat came to fellow
undefeated contender Selcuk Aydin last year, when
Dan travelled to Turkey and dropped a
controversial split decision.
Since then he has scored decisive victories in
Canada over Argentinean Andres Pablo Villafane and
former world champion Steve Forbes.
Other impressive victories on Dan’s ledger
includes former world champion Raul Balbi and
contenders Paul Delgado, Christopher Henry, Jorge
Daniel Miranda and Walter Acosta.
He held NABA and WBC Continental Americas titles
at Light Welterweight before moving up to 147 Lbs.
to fight Aydin for the WBC Silver championship.
Besides the UBO title,
Jo Jo Dan vs. Floyd Trumpet will also be for the
vacant WBC Carribean Boxing Federation
Welterweight title, and will be contested over ten
rounds.
