This is now confirmed by promoter Sergio Marquez,
who stages the show in cooperation with Samson
Lewkovicz. The fight,
dubbed "La Defensa Del Reino" (Defending The
Kingdom),
will be aired by Vtv, the largest Sports Network
in Uruguay.
Interestingly, Alegre
was born in
Concepción del Uruguay, Entre Rios, a city on the
Argentina shore of the Uruguay river, so this will
practically be a local rivalry, and lots of pride
will be at stake besides the UBO World title.
Known as a hard-punching and tough fighter who
always comes to win, Alegre, 7-4 (7), is coming
off knockout victories in her last two bouts. She
will be filled with confidence that she can take
the world title away from the reigning champion.
The Argentinean turned pro in 2008, and got off to
a rough start with losses in two of her first
three bouts. She then scored four victories before
dropping a ten round split decision in Brazil to
local hero Rosilette Dos Santos (19-4).
If she can find the same form on April 19, it
could turn out to be an excruciating challenge for
Comunales!
22-year-old Comunales, 7-1 (5), started her
professional career in January 2009, and won the
UBO World title almost exactly two years later, in
January 2011, when she impressively stopped
Brazilian Halana dos Santos in six rounds. |
