Currently employed at Soundview Medical Associates
in Darien, Connecticut, Schwartz is also, a member
of the Medical Advisory Board of the Association
of Boxing Commissions (ABC) and the Chief Ringside
Physician of the State of Connecticut.
He
is
now
working on putting together a UBO medical
advisory committee to assist boxers and local
boxing commissions with medical issues concerning
UBO title fights.
Very respected in the boxing industry, “Dr. S.”
has written several articles on various medical
topics for boxing publications such as Boxing
Digest and RingSports Magazine, and acted as a
guest analyst on ESPN´s Friday Night Fights.
His impressive resume also includes teaching at
Yale University and New York Medical College,
doing lectures on boxing medicine at WBC and IBF
conventions, and working as a consultant for the
New York Mets Major League Baseball team.
His list of credentials goes on and on, and the
Universal Boxing Organization™ could not wish for
a greater stamp of approval than having Dr.
