Sannino Cruises In UBO Championship Triumph

Former Italian champion Jonathan Sannino was very convincing in winning the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Bantamweight title on Friday night, July 24, in Livorno, Italy.

  
 

The local man had a few opponents fall through, but ended up with a solid challenge in former Ghanaian and WBO Africa titlist Isaac Sackey, undoubtedly the most accomplished foe of Sannino´s career.


However, while game, Sackey was a step behind from the start, as Sannino put on a disciplined performance and out-landed him in most rounds.

After ten rounds of boxing, judges Nicola Parrino, Dario Bibbiani and Giulia Del Prete all scored it the same: 99-91 for Jonathan Sannino.


 
 

The new UBO International champion is now 19-5-1 (4) since turning professional in 2015. Sackey falls to 27-3-2 (22).

The fight was promoted by ASD Spes Fortitude.
