UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

A fight for the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Light Heavyweight title has been confirmed as the main event of a show in Namakkal, India on May 16.

Promoted by Mohammed Ali Boxing Promotions, local star Aswin Ramesh (6-2, 4 KOs) will fight Daudi Mwita Mgaya (9-5-1, 5 KOs) from Tanzania for the vacant title.

Ramesh (23) turned professional in July of 2022, with a dream of one day becoming a champion. Now he finally gets his opportunity.

For Mwita Mgaya (28), a pro since 2021, it will be his second attempt at a title, as he lost a challenge for WBF International honours in Germany in March of 2024.

On paper a very evenly-matched encounter, it remains to be seen who can raise to the occasion and bring home the UBO belt.
