Three-time Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) title-challenger Brandon “The Hitter” Chambers (12-4-1, 5 KOs) may not have won a UBO title (yet?), but he has still achieved more than he, or people around him, initially thought he would.

He turned professional in 2019 after only two amateur bouts, planning to just have one pro fight. He only managed to get a draw in his debut, but that might have been a blessing in disguise, because he decided to keep going to get a victory.

He went on to win his next nine, including four American Boxing Federation (ABF) title fights, which set him up for a big match-up on ESPN against Top Rank Prospect Bruce Carrington, who was 6-0 at the time and went on to win the WBC world Featherweight title.

Chambers lost to Carrington, which was no shame, and six months later he entered his first UBO championship fight, on October 14, 2023, against Jaqeem Hutcherson (9-1-1) for the Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight title, in Hanover, Maryland.

Unfortunately for him he came out on the wrong side of a close decision, after a great fight which could have gone either way, and many, including himself, felt he deserved to win. He immediately lobbied for a rematch, which he got four months later.

Hutcherson also won the rematch, and Chambers once again felt hard done by. After some time off, he returned in November of 2024, and won the NBA Americas title by defeating Renaldo Gaines (10-3-1) with a shut-out decision.

In March of 2025 Chambers fought undefeated Christopher Glenn (7-0) for the vacant UBO International Featherweight title, but it was also not his night, as he lost the decision.

Since then Chambers has won two fights, including another NBA title fight and a rematch with Gaines. He is scheduled to next fight on the February 21 Jeter Promotions card in Hanover, where Mykal Fox Defends his UBO Continental (North America) Super Welterweight crown against Ray Robinson.

A win here, and he might be in line for a fourth crack at a UBO belt. He has the attitude and skills to succeed, and he would certainly deserve the opportunity!
